Feng Shui Kingston

Feng Shui Kingston - The oriental concept of Feng Shui plainly translates to "wind and water." This complex concept is more easily understood than it is pronounced or defined. Feng Shui has to be experienced so as to completely understand its ramifications on the human spirit. The intangible energy called chi is ever existing and surrounds the meaning and the application of Feng Shui. Though it is intangible, chi is everywhere in the universe and is considered one's aesthetic periphery. Feng Shui reveals itself in our attitudes concerning landscape and concerning life. It is the framework we place either consciously or unconsciously around our lives.

In Oriental culture, the placing of various stuff like for example graves, furniture and buildings is based on the patterns recognized by the flow of yin and yang and chi. Together, these produce both negative and positive effects. Feng Shui is made up of five elements. These elements are wood, water, metal, fire and earth. They blend in their own specific ways to create either positive or destructive cycles. In order for optimum Feng Shui to be acquired in whatever room, all of the five elements will be included without being overpowered by any one of them separately.

Like for example, if modern furniture featuring metal is dominating a certain space, the effects may be balance with wood elements. Candles add a fire component if that is desired. If applying Feng Shui as a design feature in one's home, it is vital to use natural substances when possible. The dual aspects of yin and yang always reign supreme in Feng Shui as the ultimate objective is to be able to generate a harmonious balance amongst humans and natural things.

Bedrooms are extremely vital rooms within whatever home and it is crucial to have sufficient energy flow to them. This is important to the energy flow all over the rest of the house. Beds themselves are said to have power places too. Several ancient Asian philosophy states that the energy from someone who ever slept in a bed leaves a residue. For optimum Feng Shui, the way the bed is placed with regards to the bedroom door must be considered. The door should always be visible from the bed. If the door is not visible from the bed, anyone could make use of a mirror in such a way that it would reflect the door. This will restore Feng Shui.

Feng Shui links life and landscape together and all things in life depend upon each other. The Oriental way of thinking believes the landscape is a breathing and living entity. There are various aspects concerning humanity and heaven and earth that the Western world could think about as people in the east do. Like as Shakespeare said in Hamlet, "There are more things in heaven and earth, my dear Horatio, than are dreamt of in your philosophy."
